The next time someone invites you to do something that you might not be comfortable doing, it's perfectly acceptable to say, "I'll let you know," and even more polite to say, "I can let you know by tomorrow afternoon (or whenever)." This is a simple way to give yourself time to consider your options without feeling "trapped" or coerced into doing something you really don't want to do.Works for me. 8-)
