Since 11/6, I have:

a) had the furnace break and flood my house (basement ceiling on floor, parquet floors warped, no heat until new furnace arrives tomorrow).

b) spent a week in the hospital with the previously-mentioned cat bite infection

c) Got a call yesterday telling me my 87-year old grandmother is in the hospital with congestive heart failure halfway across the country, in Kansas.

so, combined with all that, I can't feel much of anything about anything, including Petunia. I cried all the way walking to the vet - I kept wanting to turn around and go home - and cried through the wait and procedure, but now it's like my emotional fuse is just totally burned out.

Sorry to hear about your furry friend -it really sucks loving animals with shorter life spans than our own.
