My last post to Cass made me think of doing this. What are everyone's pets types and names (and why did you name them that)?
I have two dogs and one cat.
My oldest is my kitty. She is named K.D. after K.D. Lang, of course. Sexy singer -- sexy kitty. She is a lover, through and through.
My next oldest is a lab mix, named Jean-Luc, after Captain Picard in Star Trek. Just thought it fit, though it sure doesn't as an adult. He is high-strung, very needy. Would not be cool under attack by the Borg!
My baby is an adorable 1/2 german shepard, 1/2 corgi mix (determined male corgi!). Her name is Tashi -- a character out of the Color Purple (one of the children in Africa). I just thought it was a pretty name.
My pets are an important part of my life -- as I shared with Cass, my oldest dog has saved my life. And not only when I have been suicidal. There was one time when I was coming home from my mom's driving straight through the night. I started to fall asleep -- the only time that happened -- and the only time he barked the entire drive. I don't believe it was a coincidence.
