I was wondering if it would be dangerous in any way for me to use selegiline or Ritalin as a sleeping pill since they put me (with my hypersensitive DA autoreceptors) to sleep rather than stimulate me. I was wondering if using them in this way might ultimately make my DA problems worse or whether I could use them to help me sleep without any long-term repercussions.

But I have taken selegiline and it does put me to sleep. That confirms the hypothesis, no? My concern is could the continuous taking of selegiline do harm to the autoreceptors perhaps by making them more hypersensitive? I'd rather try to figure that out theoretically than empirically.
