Sorry to sound so prosaic, but just take it one day at a time.

Make plans as your energy allows, and as you need to, but this may not be a time to be taking 'giant steps.'

As well as you can, talk to your former beau, and you may find a friendship you can still call on for help.

I can *almost* promise you can survive this, and go on to have a happy life (there are no guarantees).
