I'm also taking Propecia for hair loss. I think a lot of my hair loss was related to nutrient deficiencies, which is probably why its started young and was diffuse, as opposed to your more typical hair line recession and/or bald spot. Propecia+taurine+green tea+zinc is the basis of some loreal pill for hair loss available in Europe. I ripped them off, and it seems to work, at least with the Propecia on baord.
I'm just trying to boost my immune system and ward off tardive dyskinesia. I got the vitamin E dosage from some studies treating TD. Some used lower doses, but there were some studies that used higher doses and they seemed to get good results. Also, I only get 50 micrograms selenium in each 400IU natural form vitamin E capsule, so taking 4 helps me get 200 micrograms selenium.
My hair is looking much, much better and the texture is greatly improved, so that's good. The hair loss is no longer bad; the hair line still kinda sucks (if you google "Norwood Scale," I'm a 2), but whatever--I've seen far worse.
