In reply to any way to reverse a block??, posted by spriggy on September 11, 2005, at 18:23:46

Hey Spriggy

>Anyway, is there any rules about reversing a block, especially in this situation where Willyee obviously was set up (as we all were)??

Whilst remaining neutral about Gardenergirl's block ~ I read this in the FAQ's..

-------------------------------------------------

What happens if a deputy administrator makes a mistake?
Their actions are subject to review by me, and I should be able to be reverse them if necessary.

-------------------------------------------------

In terms of when prevention is better than the cure ~ this has happened twice now on the meds board by what some think by the posting style, could possibly be the same poster.

With the meds board running smoothly, people posting helping each other, some people having diffcuilties with their medication, others offering support, others offering education. I know that willyee was always helping people before his block where he could with very informative posts and at the same time trying different medications and using the support from the board and the advice and knowledge of others to progress in his health. I think just recently before he got blocked he posted a picture of himself ~ things were going good on the meds board for him, people were trying to help him with his residual diffculties...but things were running smoothly so to speak.

I hope that there is not a relapses of these similar incidents that have occured to happen a third time with the possibliy of another poster, who may be quietly posting away now, just trying to better his/her health or help others only to get blocked ~ whilst the other poster that led up to willyees block (if it is indeed the same as the previous one/incidents as has been suggested) walks away free to return so to speak..

Once, twice was a coincidence ~ a third time I think we'd know for sure?..and bearing in mind the poster in question was uncivil (I attempted to repeat the language of one subject title, recieved a PBC, not knowing it would bypass the automatic asterisk system) whereas the poster knew to perhaps insert the asterisk to avoid a PBC on that particular thread on social?

I'm hoping things will not escalate out of control and another poster will not get blocked, like willyee did.

LOL Sorry I just realised that was slightly more than you asked in your question! :-o

Kind regards

Nick
