dopamine activity is higher in cases like this....its the fear reaction mixed with beliefs that are felt like a threat. With medication, its hard to deal with it, you can tune out thoughts and be passive with them. If you ever notice there are people that have this same concern and they put bars in the windows and bolts on the doors, personally if that was done...it would reduce your fear, there's no way anyone could get in. It's just costs money and the apartments have restrictions:(
you could set up death traps for intruders LOL senturey motion machine guns....
but seriously a commonly used medicine called Risperdal, would help. But im not the doctor and have no idea what their thinking. Still a antipsychotic would help really because there's ones that are sedating for sleep and lower dopamine activity to paranoia comes.
do you have nightmares and wake up from them?
