> How's your new regimen? I am a fat pig. Did I tell you about my weight watchers key chain? The keys just started falling off the chain a few weeks ago. I got it when I lost 10% of my weight (okay, 16 pounds, if you need to know). But I must have gained so much back that I'm under a 16-pound loss, so my key chain has broken.

Beardy,

Surely you can't be suggesting that you would choose to lose weight due to the inability to eat because of ptsd and panic symptoms?

Fasting for religious, personal, health, etc. reasons are fine for *some* individuals.

But the type of not eating for days that I go through usually comes from one of two types of things. The first is when my med dosages are changed....usually I end up quite physically ill and unable to keep anything down for a few days and drop a couple of pounds.

The second kind of not eating for days comes from stress, ptsd sypmtoms and panic. There isn't anything desirable about this weight loss or inability to eat.

I tried eating earlier today something simple to see if my body would accept anything but it wouldn't keep. So not eating not by choice but instead due to flareups in my diseases is a whole 'nother ball of wax than just saying hey I'll do a new year's fast and drop weight like there's no tomorrow.

So I admire anyone striving to better their health and improve their feelings about their body but I hope that everyone checks with their health care provider first before beginning any diet or exercise program.

Good luck with your 2003 WW. They are a good outfit. I have known many people who have benefitted from their programs over the years.
