I remember I got quite large from some combination of Seroquel and Epilim. Medications can affect metabolism, that's for sure. Hard to tease things out with motivation and medication and hormones etc from fat. Kudos to you for working on this stuff.

I would like to be more self-disciplined, too. I have been trying to study independently this year and I do not feel that I make the best use of my time quite a lot of the time.

External deadlines really help me. I mean, I do better than most at independent study. But I never do as well when left entirely to my own devices as I do when I feel some pressure of exams looming or something like that. If time feels scarce then I find I am able to make better use of it.

I have been applying for part time jobs. I will likely make better use of my free time if I get a part time job.
