Emmylou, if you happen to get to the point where you feel that analysis has gotten you as far as it can, think about a short-term 'family systems' theory -based therapy. I know I sound like a broken record, practically evangelizing for this approach, but I've had really good results with it so far. It's hard as h@ll though ...
