Hi Camille,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how it hurts. Unfortunately, death does get us thinking about our own mortality, and the mortality of the loved ones around us. Isolating yourself won't make things better. I know the ole, "Tis better to have loved and loss, than to have never loved at all..." I know it sounds really cliche, probably cause it really is. But, it does hold some truth. Stay close to your loved ones while you have the time God has granted you will them, enjoy them while you can.

>How does one carry on living with the knowledge of what awaits us all?

Well, for me, I know that the physical death is not the end. I believe that there is an afterlife that we will all go on to after we die. I believe in God and in Heaven and Hell. Please comfort yourself knowing that death is not the end. God bless you.
Love, Elle
