I work with Deplin and may add some information as well. First, the FDA requires that anything over 1mg of L-methylfolate be in a prescription form ONLY. Second, if you find a "generic" please make sure it is AB rated, in other words, the three or four generics to Deplin have not proven to be equal or make no claims to be. This is what AB rated or Orange book rated means. The generics contain folate from China (see their inserts) and does not meet guidelines in the U.S. The Deplin website provides information for those that have no insurance and I believe it is 48 dollars for 30 pills (15mg and scored). Most if not all "generics" out there do not have patient studies that show efficacy, so please be cautious when trying to find a generic.
