You need more than just vitamin E for good sleep architecture. The following is a vitamin cocktail I use for sleep and it works well.
400IU vitamin E; 100mcg selenium; 100mg B1; 50mg B2; 1mg melatonin; 500mg magesium; 500mg calcium
This seems to work well for me. You can't depend on just one vitamin for sleep, but rather, a cocktail which you have to take every night to get better sleep. Yes, vitamin E is very important, but so are the others equally. Try it if you like, and let me know how it turns out for you.
