What are iscoated vitamins?

I'm going to agree that brand can make a difference with multis. Recently I tried a popular drugstore variety (viactiv) after using a better quality one for a while and I developed hang nails. It was really weird. I did the experiment a second time just to make sure and the same thing happened.

I think it's possible that you're sensitive to one or more of the ingredients in the multi you tried due to your individual chemistry. For me, formulas with high amounts of B vitamins (popular since they are supposed to be energizing) seemed to make me anxious.

Some vitamins and minerals can cause nausea if not taken with a meal so that may be a factor as well. Keep in mind too that some contain extras that you may not necessarily need (for example, gingko, CoQ10, green tea extract, etc). Any one of the ingredients might be disagreeing with you.

If you want to try another multi, iherb is a good place to read reviews even if you don't shop there. I try to look for ones that contain better quality ingredients (for example, the P-5-P version of B6).

Finally you might want to take less than the full recommended dose, especially if you already have a good diet. I should warn you that it can be hard to swallow the large tablets if you cut them in half, though. They don't go down as easily when the shape is irregular.
