At a guess it might be the Melatonin, supplemental Melatonin has a short half life of a few hours, once it wears off you can wake up.

This article mentions waking up 4 hours in to sleep which is a common problem >

The article also mentions behavioural reinforcement, there's a few online Insomnia C.B.T. courses now which are inexpensive or free.

Alcohol can and does disrupt sleep, if you drink alcohol stop drinking well before you go to sleep.
