Allow this to brew for a few minutes, then just go ahead and strain. About 2-3 pods is a good starter dose... someone more opioid-tolerant may need as many as twenty large pods. You may want to mask the taste with something a bit spicy... licorice is good. So that's the process... of course the alkaloid content will vary from batch to batch, but will always contain morphine, codeine, thebaine, papaverine, and narcotine.

Is this poppy pod tea good for sleep?
Like if you drink it before going to bed? Instead of crushing the pods yourself is it not possible to buy poppy pod tea bags from the health shop? I've lost my pestle and mortar...Regards
