Thanks for the thread references. From a Fitness/Weight loss interest (my new profession!), NOTHING I've researched on CLA, ever said it actually caused weight gain...so that's very interesting.
For myself, I don't have a weight problem, and anecdotally at least, find it helped increase lean muscle at a time when I was not doing any weight training. However, I WAS taking (and have for about 6 years) Chromium Picolinate. So the bit about chromium enhancing the fat metabolization and lean muscle seems to hold true for me.
(BTW I prefer to use Chromium Polynicotinate, but it's hard to get here).
Chromium supplementation has helped my blood sugar problems immensely. Prior to taking it, I regularly became lethargic and dizzy almost every afternoon. To the point where I would have to hold on to something to stop from falling, some days!
I just don't get that anymore.
