This thread seems to me so long, depressing and useless. Each participant has his/her own view, and Dr. Bob just confines himself to platitudes. In my opinion, there is a real problem here, which is that one poster is excepted from conforming to the civility rules expected of everyone else. We are not supposed to even mention the real problem, except via useless, unanswered "notifications"!
This is yet one more example of amazingly ineffective administration. It would be a blessing if discussions like this simply disappeared permanently.
