Okay, I get it. Sometimes I can be so dense.
I just searched twitter with words I knew would show up because Dr. Bob had tweeted them from one of my posts.
This is what showed up on the results page:

7 days ago from web · Reply · View TweetThe link to Dr. bob psychobabble page showed up as well as the link to my post and both were hot clickable links. Clicking on the link to my post *on the search results page (the tiny url)* brought me back to babble.
Clicking the "reply" button did nothing because I'm not a member or whatever. Clicking the "view tweet" link just took me to the tweet.
Evidentally searching is easy on twitter. I don't know about facebook.
FWIW, there were two pages of search results, mine was on the second page.
Seldom.
