Personally, I now think the situation - so to speak - is under control.
IMO whenever there is increased exposure, there is increased risk of deductive and or accidental discovery of identity.
So, perhaps the question now becomes, how big is this increased exposure?
IMO, with the new opt-out system, it's been to reduced back to only marginally above what was already present here at babble.
Should we visit the whole privacy of babble issue in its entirety. I suspect we will end up doing just that.
At present however, I'm okay.
