Hijacking threads

Posted by Justherself54 on August 22, 2008, at 15:28:30

I know this is and continues to be a problem. I can see where some posters of the original thread get angry and fire back with a knee-jerk reaction. If they are new to babble, they probably won't come back. It makes one feel ignored. On a personal level, I feel ignored enough so it would take all my civility skills not to fire back and do the correct thing which is ask to have the thread get back on track.

I don't know why people hijack threads. I've seen them turn into a chat sessions that have nothing to do with the original tread. It may not be uncivil to hijack a thread but in my opinion, it's rude.

If I've offended anyone, my apologies in advance.
