I have been going to Atlanta for the past six years for twice-yearly TMS treatment for major depression, which is resistant to drugs. It works extremely well, although the effects are not very long-lasting.
I am personally thrilled that it has finally been approved, and look forward to being able to get it on an as-needed basis close to home. So here is one very happy and excited person! If you are one of the people for whom it works, it is such a clean, side-effect- free treatment. No cognitive dulling, no memory loss. no weight gain, no apathy- just a brief sharp pain in the scalp when the pulses are given. I take one vicodin beforehand, and then it's very tolerable.
