Phillipa,
I never meant to suggest that klonopin, or any pharmaceutical product, can act as a diagnostic tool. Your different response could be due to any number of causes.
Klonopin is the most commonly, if not the only, benzo used in bipolar/schizophrenic patients as it is know to have strongest of the mood stabilizing properties.
The dulling could be considered depression, which is not uncommon with Klonopin. I would recommend trying another, and be sure to keep your doses "Pro Re Nata," as needed - this advice from personal experience, benzos are not a class of drugs you want to become dependent upon.
Best of luck Phillipa, sorry for the confusion!
Regards,
Matt
