You might want to consider one of the MAOIs, as these have traditionally been considered the gold standard among antidepressants in treating social phobia and social anxiety. Nardil seems to be more anxiolytic and worked very well on my social phobia, but it has more side effects than Parnate. Comparing the two, Nardil is more sedating and is notorious for inducing weight gain, while Parnate is stimulating and isn't really noted for causing weight gain. However, it is a little more prone to causing rashes--I do not know if this would also tie into acne problems for people who are susceptible to this.
