Know what,actualy id like to know how you were elected deputy,is there any thing you can show us that shows Dr Bob left you as "deputy".
Are you sure you did not just take on this role yourself?
The reason i ask is Dr Bob never would have handled this person this way.Sorry to say but youre handling of "deputy" has just proven to be horrendously bad.
So ill ask again,did you place yourself as deputy,or did Dr. Bob do so?
I find it odd Dr bob would do so without informing the group,without leaving some kinda notice.
If he has,then i am proven wrong and so be it,no problem.However i REJECT your please be civil message until further notice from Dr Bob.

wow! what an introduction to deputy! It must take a lot of time and energy to manage the boards as deputy. I think you are doing a great job! And this was quite the initiation.

Ya know, it doesn't take much to read the rules.
People are not blocked for swearing as long as it's asterisked, there is no limit on how many you're allowed to use.
And as is quite clear here there are many ways to be offensive without using any cursing at all.

Holden has tattered the board with inappropaite language. Not only that, the language has often been used in a completely unjustified, haphazzard, and offensice manner.
Posts entitied: "Where the fu*ck is curt?" Are examples of this. The use of such profanities in these posts do nothing to convey an emotion. It is pointless.
I was surprised to see that such posting could continue for so long without any sort of administrative intervention.I was more surprised to see that Wylee got blocked for pointing out the obvious, while Holden didn't even recieve as little as a warning.

Holden is obviously Curt and while he may be knowledgeable about medications it is obvious he is playing games with this board. I am a longtime lurker on this board (since '99) and it shocked me as well that Dr. Bob had'nt blocked holden by now. His behaviour is unacceptable and for willyee to be banned for pointing out the obvious in a civil manner is just wrong.

Maybe this should be administration, but I just came on here and was thoroughly confused.
I found Holden's posts extremely offensive and had no idea why he was allowed to continue (repeatedly) to post offensive threads over and over. It was apparent whoever "holden" was had an attempt to sabotage (too bad I can't spell that word because it really fits here, ROFL) this place.
Anyway, is there any rules about reversing a block, especially in this situation where Willyee obviously was set up (as we all were)??
this just seems extremely unfair, especially now that we know what was occurring.

While I, too, was offended by much of what Holdan posted here -- both by language and by content -- I don't agree that Willyee shouldn't have been blocked. (Although I won't disclose my opinion on blocking Holdan, in fear of getting my own PBC...)
Regardless of Holdan's intentions or identity or anything else, Willyee has been here long enough to know the rules, and one of the rules is that one has to remain civil, even when provoked. Willyee was obviously feeling quite provoked, and I can certainly understand and empathize with that -- but the fact remains that the civility guidelines say that we cannot post anything that might make another feel accused or put down. What's more, GG did give a PBC warning before imposing the block. Willyee had the choice to ignore that, and did so.
I was blocked for a week recently, after posting something about another poster -- something that I felt provoked into posting -- and much as I hated being blocked, I also knew that I had brought it on by the choices I had made. I hope that I've learned my lesson, and that it never happens to me again. But I appreciate the civility guidelines, which help me learn to be civil to others even when I really, really don't want to be. ;-D That's not a bad skill to have.
Finally, GG is acting as Deputy. Even if I didn't agree with her choice to block a poster, I would still support her, because she is performing a duty that helps us all. Rather than giving her Rat's Week, I would prefer to show my appreciation of her taking on this role by respecting the decisions she makes.
I'm sorry that this whole thing has happened. I'm very sorry that a regular poster who has contributed a great deal to this site was blocked because of it. But I respectfully disagree regarding reversing the block.

I just found and read through the whole ordeal (which I likely should've done before I posted on the subject!).
Anyway, I apologize for questioning the deputy's authority (GG). I realize this was a tough call and after reading through the whole thing, I understand a bit more why this happened.
I did not see the PBC originally (or the response to the PBC).
I will remove myself from this "race that my dog ain't runnin' in" (my father's version to me of "mind your own business!).

My opinion...
I think this ENTIRE post should be deleted... Holden should be warned for the unnecessary language, and all other PBC's and blocks, given in this post, should be forgiven.
Let's move on to more important things.
