here is how it goes:
present to the ED with particular symptoms (having nothing to do with Covid).
get tested for Covid. No, you don't get to choose whether or not you have a Covid test. I am fairly sure that this is true. You are required to have a Covid test or there is no treatment for you.
Do you have to have a cervical smear or a prostate exam at the same time? Maybe some exploratory surgery or a scope for bowel cancer? maybe it's time for your euthanasia drug? I am sure they know what tests are appropriate for them to order for you. You are required to comply. Else get the f*ck out of it. There is no healthcare. There is no healthcare. There is no healthcare for you.
It was in the NY times not so long ago that parts of the USA were finding they were getting false positive Covid tests from a certain batch of tests they sourced from Australia. That means that 1/4 of the people they tested were getting a positive test back -- when the person did not have Covid.
The USA sent the tests back to Australia. It found that as part of it's quality control. Chose not to use those tests from Australia.
We now have tests supplied by Australia. Apparently around 1/4 of the people being tested for Covid in the hospitals are testing positive even though many of them do not have symptoms of Covid.
We are supposed to beleive that the hospitals are not treating people for their presenting symptoms because they are overwhelmed by Covid. By people presenting who are positive for Covid.
And the prevalence of Covid is supposed to justify...
The fact that our Court of Appeal is not working. Does not function. Is not progressing cases. Our Universities are not working. Do not function. Do not process enrolments or progresse graduations. Our Hospital system is not working. Does not provide quality healthcare for people presenting with the things they are actually presenting with.
What a scummy scummy scam.
THe District Health Boards are apparently trying to get a Judicial Review to prevent allied helath people from striking because, you know, the DHB's will not hire people to work certain jobs. Won't do it. Won't pay them. Won't do it. Won't pay them.
The government pays 1 firm in each region to have the monopoly on government prosectuion. Appareantly they are supposed to ask permission of the solicitor general and the auditor general before they start prosecution. They do not, they will not, prosecute corruption or legal violaitons committted by people employed by the government. The government will only employ people to commit crimes on it's behalf -- else cover upl the crimes that have been committed, by the seems of it.
I haven' really seen any indication of anything else.

Hard to know what is going on in the Ukrane. Developed nations trying to make themselves look good by being able to point to something that looks worse.
Perhaps that's part of it.
It seems that the people from Ukrane have historic reasons not to trust the Russians (to do with a genocide earlier in the 1900's). That makes it hard for the Soviets to have good relations with tehm etc. But there seems to be concern, too, that they aren't getting on board the goals etc of NATO. So Europe isn't having much better interactions... Corruption... I guess that is about the government.
I don't know what it is about.
I guess they have to let the women and children out else it would be a genoicde endorsed by Russia and USA and Europe. Since USA and Europe are providing the weapons etc. Ukranian Government is.. A draft? What happens to or with the men who don't want to fight who are drafted?
