i gave them a under 50,000 words masters thesis (because i was enrolled in a 120 point 1 EFT 1 year masters degree).

after delaying gettting it to examiners (including forcing me to work for an extra period of time) they sent it out with instructions for the external examiners to examine the masters thesis for acceptabiltiy as a doctoral or phd thesis (where those are the product of at least 360 points 3 years and are more close to 100,000 words in length).

that is to say they asked the examiners to examine it for the wrong degree so as to force the examiners to say that it was not acceptable and i was requierd to keep paying the university fees for re-enrolment and i was required to keep working for the university.

imagine if harvard sent your first year essay (say, 2,000 words max) to an examiner asking them to examine it as a capstone thesis.

then said you 'failed to meet the required standard' and tresspassed you from the university.

maybe that does happen at Harvard and they don't do anything about it.

i can't see why else Harvard (for example) wouldn't do anything about another university doing that to it's students.

denounce them. etc.

_______

I don't think a NZ university has graduated any of it's studnets since 2018.

i don't think we are doing graduations anymore.

but they take the money they take the money they take the money from the studnets and the students parents.

they haven't stopped taking the money
