do all universities refuse to send their students work out to external examiners?
perhaps that's the thing. perhaps it's totally acceptable or normal or standard practice for the university of waikato to refuse to send a students work out to examiners.
so we are clear: the reason why they refused to send the studnets work out to externals for external examination was because they did not want the examiners to accept the work. they wanted to prevent and prohibit the external examiners from accepting the work. they wanted to force the student to keep working for the university and to keep paying the university more and more and more and more fees.
they wanted the student to pay more fees than the amount of fees that was associated with the 1 EFT 120 point value qualification that she had applied to be enrolled in. they wanted the student to be forced to re-enrol under conditions of 'limited full time status' which is a status given to students who are enrolled on a part time basis.
they wanted the student to spend.. 10 years? working on a 1 year qualification? paying more and more and more fees to the university every year and working and working and working for teh university...
taking everything out of the thesis that they wanted taken out. putting everything into the thesis that they wanted putting in. they wanted her to put her name on the thesis that they wrote for her (they were only going to give her the qualification if she was a documented plagariser. if she handed in their work and passed it off as her own).
they would only listen to her if she told them what htey told her to say to them.
that's the university in new zealand.
that's the university everywhere in teh world?
no university is going to stand up and say that the university of waikato is corrupt.
apparently... well... the courts found that the new zealand vice chancellors committee didn't need to look into how the university of waikato treated me because what they were doing was perfectly fine and that's how they treat all their other studnets and that's how any nz university treats all of their studnets.
and also the courts found that how the university of waikato treated me is personal to me and nobody else has my experience and no other university behaves like that towards it's students.

no point talkilng to them anymore.

i went to this online rally thing the other day. something to do with disabiltiy.
it was very strange.
it felt a lot like a new group who is comparable to the old group.
it felt like more of the same.
squabbling. for power.
they seemed to have made up their minds before holding the rally.
the leader of the rally was... australian.
it was very weird.

i remember learning (very briefly) as an undergraduate about how you needed to be very careful how you worded things and asked questions in surveys, for example, because of known effects like how people tend to say 'yes' (out of agreeabiltiy or confirmation bias -- i thought that was what that was called. but apparently they have changed the names of things or whateaver. but point is that people will tend to agree or say yes. so... that means... in a science survey (well any context when you want to get to the truth or what people actually think or whatever there are various things you can do)... e.g., if you want to ask 'yellow or not yellow' you ask half that and half 'not yellow or yellow' sorts of things. ordering effects... stuff like that.
anyway... they had already made up their minds. and then the way they asked the things was.. confirmation bias. they were only willing to hear from those present what they had already decided.
so the whole thing was...
well. illustrative of that. is what i learned from teh situation.
i didn't know much about what was goign on. just that they appointed a non disabled CE to be leader of the new ministry of disabilty.
i was for 'no confidence'. but that is because that is my position on the current new zealand administration.
the judiciary.
the universities.
i don't think the leaders of the rally cared what the people had to say. i think the leaders of the rally were feeling excluded or devalued from whoever was chosen to be part of the new disability thing by the ministry.
the leaders of the rally were looking very white and mostly blind.
they weren't looking very diverse. i mean to say.

i am not interested in politics.
but they surely hold the country to ransom.
