When we bought our house, we were in our early 20s and I planted 13 Cleveland Select Pear trees all around the house. I brought each one home in the back of my toyota corolla! Now, they are as tall as the house. They bloom white in spring, looks like Im surrounded by popcorn! Then the flowers fall and it looks like snow! The leaves are shiny dark green and rustle in the wind. In fall, my house is surrounded by yellow/red leaves, and then in winter, the trees have tiny pear fruits on them that the birds devour!
My fav trees tho are the big old live oaks with spanish moss hanging from them. These trees are all down south. I see them when I go to the ocean in SC.
