Is that really only in TX!? Drive thru liquor stores rule!!! I think everything should be drive through.
What else I like about TX.... well I've always wondered if the whole holding the door open for a woman thing was just TX or everywhere. I mean, literally, a dude will apologize if he inadvertently lets the door close a few feet in front of you. So yall tell me, is that everywhere? I've always wondered if the whole Southern Hospitality thing is real or a myth. And really, its not just a man/woman thing, I'll stand there and hold the door if someone is even remotely close. And for the elderly or disabled (or someone carrying stuff) its just a given.
Ummm, lets see, I guess when its freezing everywhere else and 70° F here its pretty cool. But then, when its 85° F everywhere else and its 115° F here its not so cool (no pun intended).
TX traffic sucks. I hate 75 more than 635 myself your#1fan. And as much as I LOVE Austin I've heard the traffic sucks worse there than anywhere!!!
Basically the best thing I like about TX is my precious nephew is here. If it weren't for that, I'd probably have moved a long time ago. Not the TX is bad (I really do have a strong bond with TX, otherwise I wouldn't be TexasChic!), but there are other places that I would fit in a lot better. I love the New England area, and of course the liberal CA areas call to me. Then there's other countries, Australia especially. Or someplace tropical. Like where you imagine when you listen to 'Margaritaville'.
But although I wasn't born here (I was actually born in Traverse City, Michigan - which I can't remember) TX is my home. Its what's familiar. Plus the best Mexican food and Margaritas ever!!!!!
