With all due respect to your mom, her assessment of skipping a single class is rather grand and sweeping. Mine was pretty similar! You know the secret lining? By the end she was saying, "I don't even care if you major in basket-weaving, as long as you get a degree." :) So, I ended up majoring in something I liked much better than what she had planned for me, and she was thrilled.> I skipped class today and my parents yelled at me and called me lazy. My Mom said I didn't have any goals and motivation and was lazy just like my Dad. She then started blaming my Dad for his bad genes and went on about how his family were all lazy with no goals or aspirations.
