hi all,
I travelled for 16 hours today, between public transit and cab and delays and having to check in twice, and long lines at security and customs. I finally made it to Vancouver!!And I didn't even get stressed out. I was mellow. calm. kept my wits about me :)
My hotel room is SOOOO nice. much nicer than I usually get. I almost feel like a superstar. But I guess superstars trash their hotel rooms. I'm going to keep mine nice.

-llfrom the tiny introduction i got, Vancouver seems pretty nice. very scenic and clean. people are friendly, and they have this nifty accent. Can someone help me figure out what the accent is? Where does it come from? For instance I know that the Appalachian accent is derived from Scottish settlers, but here? It's different than my Ontario friend's accent. Her's is more midwestern, (except for a few special words like 'about')
