I was 14. But there was no staying over! I wasn't allowed to have a man in my room until I was 21, and only then because it was a gay friend who had come to visit me and we just wanted to stay up all night chatting in bed. My dad muttered quite a lot but agreed in the end, and after that I was allowed to let boyfriends sleep in my room (not that it was ever discussed; I just took advantage of the precedent).
But if they were trying to prevent me from having sex in my room, they were too late. My first sexual experience was in my room, when I was 12, with a female friend.
