Well, surely it was some consolation to know that you two felt the same way about each other? Doesn't sound like the most mannerly or charming of potential dates.
Jay, my (much prettier) cousin once asked me how I found such nice boys to date. And I paused, nonplussed. Because it honestly never occured to me to date anyone who wasn't nice.
There are lots of nice women out there Jay. As you're going about your normal life, I'll bet there are plenty of them. I know that you've said your classmates are a bit younger than you are, but are they all? The only people I ever dated were friends first and then dates, and it always seemed to work for me.
I haven't a lot of dating experience, of course. I only dated a handful of boys in my life and married someone I met in high school. So what I say may not be all that helpful.
