Dinah, I don't know anything much about Huntsville, except I grew up 1 hr. north of there, in a little town on the TN side of the state line. That general area of the country has THE nicest people, some really good food, and relatively few natural dangers. Like Spriggy noted, tornadoes might come through- maybe a little one every 5 years or so, and if you are too near the river you might get flooded. But it is a BEEEYOOOTEEFULLL place to live. My parents and inlaws still live in my small hometown in TN, so I am back that way often.
