It's about an hour or so from Huntsville. I can't remember exactly, last time I was there was on a field trip in the 6th grade.
But yes, it's worth the drive for sure!
Philipa, my family are far enough north that Hurricane didn't really effect them- Huntsville is in Northern Alabama (about an hour south of the Tennessee border).
They just got lots of rain and thunderstorms.
