Have you ever seen "ANNIE HALL"? Alvy Singer, played by Woody Allen, and Annie Hall, played by Diane Keaton, break up. One night, Alvy is in bed with a flaky groupie played by Shelley Duvall. It's 3 o'clock in the morning and the phone rings. It's Annie Hall, crying and begging Alvy to come over to her apartment. Alvy abandons Shelley Duvall and dutifully goes over to Annie's house. He walks in the door and asks what's the matter. Annie says, "There's a spider in the bathroom." Alvy says something like, "Are you joking? You call me over here at three in the morning because there's a bug in the bathroom??!!" He goes into the bathroom, takes one look at the spider, then rushes into another room and grabs Annie's tennis racquet. As he goes back into the bathroom to beat the living daylights out of the spider, he says, "There's a spider in there the size of a Buick."

Sorry, I may have some of the details mixed up. He might have said, "There's a cockroach in there the size of a Buick." You've got to rent the movie. Whatever you may think of Woody Allen and his personal life, some of his early movies are still the best, and that scene with the bug in the bathroom is one of the more memorable scenes from that era.
