That is kind of a totalitarian way of putting it.
Homosexuality is not considered a mental illness. I think that since, many people in this position aren't suffering or hurting anybody, it will never be a focus of medical science. I know it discusts you but....
Just like we aren't really working to find a cure for left handedness, although at one point in time, people thought we should be.If a pill was to take it away over night, I would't recognize myself.
