Oh hell no. I hate them though people say I tend to come across fairly well.

>I never seem to come up with smart answers to stupid questions that aren't smart aleck.

Ok. The key there is to write down the sorts of questions they are likely to ask you before hand (you should be able to figure this out with your experience at job interviews) and then write down some good sounding answers. Try to make them so you feel comfortable with them. So they can roll off the tongue. Then practice. Find someone who can run through a 'mock interview' with you. Remember it is a BS process about talking yourself up.

Ok. Feel free to modify them so you can use them confidently. If you tend to get phone interviews you could even use brief notes for the tricky questions that are likely to come up.

>and hope they don't press for why I left my last perm job. I say it was to care for a family member- well, I am a family member, aren't I?

Ok. Or you could say that you knew your perminent job wasn't something you wanted to be doing for the rest of your life. Temping gave you the chance to have a go at the range of different things you could do so you could really find your niche. And now you have found it and it just happens to be whatever it is that you are applying for...
