Welcome to Babble. The people here have helped me so much over the last 2 years. There do seem to be groups of people who "know" each other. But that happens after a time of posting. Just jump in when something sounds familiar to you or when you have a question or need company.
The other thing about Babble, is that sometimes it is really busy, and sometimes it is less busy. So if you don't get responses, it might just be that people are either doing well and not reading or doing poorly and not reading. It is often the case that whether people respond or not has more to do with them and what is going on in their life than it does with you!
Over time you'll get to know us, and we'll get to know you (at least I hope so!!)
