This is celebrated so irresponsibly by some. I live in a neighbourhood that has a ratio of 50 dogs to each household (and the houses are semi detached). I'm considering leaving town tonight if I ever want to sleep. My heart goes out to these poor animals who cannot stop barking because they are terrified. So many dogs run away and are killed on the roads or just get lost. We have even had incidences of fire crackers being used on an animal. I won't go into more detail than that.

My son loves fire crackers, so we always get him a few and then go to the designated areas on our beachfront where animals are not allowed and set them off for him.

And with my hypervigilance at the moment, I shudder to think what my nerves are going to be like by tomorrow.
