I had the most creepifying nightmare last night. I don't remember all of the build-up, but at the Stephen King-like peak, I was in a dark bedroom trying to sleep I woke up and and looked around and there was a possessed-looking witch's head on a chair, and an equally scary large glowing tapestry of Jesus on the wall that looked like some sort of hallucination. And the door to the room was open and another door to the rest of the building was open. And I tried to scream and nothing came out. And then I woke up and because I had woken up once in the dream, it took me a while to be certain I was actually awake and not still in another layer of the dream. And then all the ambient noises in and around the apartment scared me.
It doesn't look as scary written down. I guess you had to be there. It was the worst in a long time.
