Heat makes me sick. It can trigger my CFS. I like the long days, though. I've always wanted to go to the far north for the summer solstice.
I'm going to the opposite extreme, though--I'm trading the heat and humidity of DC summers for no summers at all. I'm about to rent a house in one of the foggier parts of San Francisco. Summer is when it's foggiest. ("Fog" here is often a dense, damp overcast.) I'm worried that the lack of light will exacerbate my depression, even though I don't have SAD. Am I letting my anxieties get to me? When I lived here before I was less depressed, and lived in a sunnier part of town. But there just aren't that many houses for rent here that meet our criteria.
(Yes, I'm in SF now, which is why I haven't been posting. Don't have too much privacy. My daughter is trading a long-promised trip to Victoria's Secret for... a nap. She complained of a headache.)
The weather here is beautiful. Sunny, about 70, breezy, clean, and crisp. Spring and fall are the best times of year. It rains in winter, and in summer it's windy, cold, and foggy.
