Mystic, I am so glad to hear that Mel and Ryan Parker are ok. You are right, it is hard to see your daughter like that and hooked up to those machines and watching the indicators beep and flash and and go up and down.
But it is over now, sweetie, and they are both fine. Now you get to be a mother to Mel, and comfort her and nurture her, and help her get through her recovery. She knows now what it is like to give birth, and there will be a special bond between you now that wasn't there before. And you get to hold little Ryan and smell his newborn smell and just fall in love with him.
Try not to replay the day in your mind, sweetie; rent a movie or go out to dinner, and just take that Xanax and get some rest and be good to yourself. You have a beautiful little grandson, and he is going to fall in love with you, too, and one day soon he is going to call you "g'ama" and your heart is going to just melt.
