Did you ever feel irritated on lexapro... that seems to be a strange side effect for me, I get really irritated when the medication peaks, it last about an hour then I am better...tell me a little about the wellbutrin please dear!!!

Lexy,

When I was on Lexapro, I was very sleepy and foggy during the day, and I would even fall asleep sitting up (and once standing - that was wierd!). And I needed probably at least 10 hours of sleep at night. Given the option, I probably could have stayed in bed all day. When I switched to Wellbutrin, I was clear-minded and very alert during the day, but unfortunately also at night. I probably only got 4 hours of sleep total the first two nights. But insomnia was really the only side effect, and within a week I was getting 6-7 hours of sleep a night. That isn't enough for me, but it was a small price to pay to be a functioning human being again. Now, I am probably getting a full night's sleep half of the time. One thing I did lose when quitting the Lexapro is the hormonal instability. Wow! Like we don't have enough problems!

Wellbutrin certainly could be worth a try for you. However, if Lexapro makes you irritable, Wellbutrin may make you downright uncomfortable. But you never know... And something to keep in mind is that anything with caffeine seems to have greatly magnified effects on Wellbutrin.

I wish you the best!
