My mom died by suicide, so the scene of the little boy screaming out for his mother as she drove off....well...I lost it. Cried and cried, of course. The whole movie was overwhelming for me. I've been on both sides of that equation, so it's all too familiar.
I knew it would be hard to watch, so I made all my girlfriends come with me. They cried even more than I did. Such sweeties. I think the movie did a good job of capturing the pain of depression, the solitude of its nature, and the impact of the desease on family.
