Mair,

I think before I met all these wonderful people I would have chosen the small gathering that you had. It sounds as if it was delightful. I throughly enjoyed myself and felt immediately accepted by these folks.

Yeah, it was frazzling but once I was through the door and handshakes were NOT an option---I was hugged and kissed by everyone even the young men (those awkward fellas ages 12-25 or so)---and they were all so welcoming.

Plus who can argue with great food?! I paced myself and had a great meal. My brother and his housemate both commented later on how every time they looked over at me I was eating something! This is a compliment since earlier this year when I was so ill they were calling me Skeletor and worried about how thin I had become. I'm very happy to have an appetite again and be able to just eat and enjoy it without worry.

I'm so glad to hear you had a nice holiday. Did the rest of the weekend go as restfully well? And please tell me someone else was helping clean up after all those mountains of food you cooked! ; )

Take care kind Mair.
