I posted a poem on social babble awhile back. I never let anyone read my poetry, and I would definitely feel safe posting it on an arts board.
Armageddon
The lone survivor
sitting amongst the flaming remains
wondering if the flames will reach her-
calling out to the dead,
crying for what’s passed.
Waiting for her own judgment day.The enemy was strong.
her side fought until the ammunition ran out.
Everyone good is gone-
leaving her alone to fight the evil who’d strike when a person’s down.All her spirit has been broken-
her livelihood has been taken.
The enemy laughs as it crushes the remains of the kingdom.
Ransacking and rampaging through the gold of the dead.The lone survivor
