I am laughing my arse off at myself right now. :) I guess all I can say is that I understood beardy's intentions in hindsight, after she admitted it wasn't meant to be hurtful. And perhaps because of my rose glasses that make me believe other people won't, without good reason (in their mind), be deliberately spiteful.
